Two upcoming conferences of prime interest in the science-religion dialogue:
1. ESSSAT, the European Society for the Study of Science and Theology, will have its next conference April 30 – May 4 2014 in Assisi, Italy. The theme is “Do Emotions Shape the World?” Alongside five major plenary speakers, there is room for many papers in parallel sessions. A great opportunity for graduate students but alsot for more establlished scholars to present and discuss ideas. See the attached poster, the website www.ESSSAT.org and more in particular the conference website http://esssat2014.edicypages.com/ . The deadline for abstracts is October 31 2013, that is the end of this month.
ESSSAT also has two prizes, the ESSSAT Research Prize (deadline also October 31st; often awarded for PhD dissertations) and the ESSSAT Student Prize (deadline January 15); more information on the same website.
