I have had my first trawl through the archive index seeking relevant material and have identified a few nuggets and potential gems. Recordings I will be checking out include references to a number of key fiddlers and I can’t wait to hear them in due course.

Just had a stimulating (and hopefully not too boring) session with 12 very keen 4th year students taking the course Traditional Music – The Historical Dimension where we talked about the issues around the use of the term ‘tradition bearer’ in relation to the study of contemporary music makers.
