The Centre for Cultural Relations (CCR) was established in 2013 as an interdisciplinary research centre based at the University of Edinburgh.
The CCR is a College wide hub for research and knowledge exchange, in the College for Humanities and Social Sciences, with strong links across the whole University, including with Edinburgh Global and the University’s Global Academies.
The CCR works with partners at the Universities of Aberdeen, Glasgow, Highlands & Islands and St. Andrews, and is developing strategic international research links. Our aim is to promote effective international cultural relations by understanding better their practice, theory and impact for government, business, cultural organisations and individuals.
The Centre is research led. Its work is based on rigorous interdisciplinary analysis, detailed empirical evidence and in-depth institutional knowledge.
