My previous posts on European instruments that may have preceded the modern violin mention how some are played by pressing the\u00a0strings down onto a finger board, how some require the strings to be stopped but not pressed to the wood and that with others the strings are touched from the side by the finger nails. These two videos demonstrate the first and last of these techniques on different forms of\u00a0kemen\u00e7e.\u00a0<\/span>.
